Most boaring post ever! Probably? This for me is a huge victory. A year and half ago I went in for a major back surgery that end up costing over 330 thousand dollar with the if you include the few days I spent in ICU and 8 days in the hospital. Before that I spent a year or so in a wheel chair cause I could baelrely stand for a minute or 2 with out being in devastating pain. Today I can comfortably toss around 120 plus pounds plastic sheet up on my cnc with out discomfort or agonizing pain. I've Come a long way and very grateful for it. Now just need to lose some more weight and get back into the gym. I have always known there was something different about my thought processes. As a child I never could wrap my head around things other kids seam to understand easily. I also never really enjoyed playing with toys like most kids did. I would always just take them apart to see how they worked. On the flip side many things came very easy to me. Like reading schematics, understanding complex movements, how things can be improved and applied to practical applications. Something as simple as this small swivel I am holding can send me into hours of thinking of ways it can be applied to improve existing things or used in new inventions. I honestly wish I had a switch that could shut it off sometimes but my goofy head space just keeps on keeping on. Oh well, at least I don't get bored very often. #currentdesignsituation working out the details on this 24ft 6 inch long 5ft wide @avidcnc. It will sport 2 gantries and have a cut capacity of 23.5 ft by 5 ft. Most of the time it will run as 2 separate machine but when cutting large scale can function as single machine with crazy long bed. Avid sent me a 5 by 12 that I am adding to the 5 by 10 I bought six months ago. Proud daddy moment!! The Littles (my youngest kids) spent a couple hours helping make some Quicklox tonight.. Parenting has always been a challenge for me. I think many parents struggle with things like I do. I try very hard not to do things for my kids they can do for them selves. Its not easy and I want to rush in and save them. But, children given the chance will almost always find a way to solve and deal with things on thier own if they are encouraged to. (Obviously there are exceptions) I promise if you give them the chance to they will surprise you with how capable they are. I try to teach them its ok to make mistakes, to think and solve problems for themselves, that delayed gratification is way better than instant gratification, that working is not only rewarding but is fun if they let it be. That fancy houses and expensive cars and how much money you make are the least important things in life. That living a good life and making a positive difference in others lives will out last everything else they do in their lifetime. And maybe learn to spell better and use sentence structure bettet than their dad. Couldn't hurt. 🤣 #prouddad #parentingishard #besthingever
